A confession. This isn't my first time around the block with in-home workout DVDs. I always sort of thought they were cheesy and for people who couldn't afford the gym/ were too embarrassed to go to the gym.
Boy, was I wrong & ignorant.
What I like about doing DVD's @ home is:
- I don't feel silly doing these awkward poses because no one but Katie is watching.
- It keeps me on a program that was designed to help me lose weight quickly. It's not me just peace mealing a plan together from articles I read online on 'how to workout.' This is 90 days of planned workouts & food --- made for maximum effect.
- I get to workout with Katie.
- It's just more comfortable.
- No drive to the gym. Just pop it in & go.
- Seeing it there is a constant reminder of what I need to do.
Last year, we bought Supreme 90 Day and started it in January. It was pretty intense and focused quite a bit on muscle confusion --- like P90x & many Jillian workouts. (teamholland.com is his site.)
I only lasted about 24 days before I took 'too many' days off & I quit. Either it was too hard, I was too lazy, or Tom Holland looked too much like Steve Carell for me to take it seriously.
(Tom Holland-Left- from his PR video & Steve Carell on right)Today, according to Katie, is the longest I've done one of these programs.
I'm going to keep cranking & getting up @ 4am to work out.
Woohoo!
