Day 25 - Eating chocolate to lose weight, small victories,

Weight: 233

25 days in
(I'm still catching up on losing weight from over the weekend & our 'mini' vacation. I'm cursing myself for having any bad food. I'm a person who likes to make timelines. I've been telling myself I will NOT do it on this diet because I don't want to feel like I'm falling behind.

With that said, I have the feeling I just did from the weekend. I need to get below 230 & stay there. I've heard from so many places that you don't want to focus on the big goal, but small little goals --- 10lbs at a time. I like focusing on the large goal, but I'm happy whenever I hit a small victory, like breaking & staying under a certain amount.)

Back to the point: chocolate

So one thing I really like about the Jillian diet is that we can have chocolate as a snack in the afternoon. It comes as a nice reprieve between lunch and dinner, especially when it is chocolate. This was fun to make with the kids, too.

1. We took the mini bananas --- or use 1/3rd of a large banana.
2. Skewer the bananas & freeze the chunks for a few hours on wax paper or on aluminum foil. Just get the bananas very frozen.
3. When the time comes, melt 70% cocoa chocolate in a pan. (You need to put the chocolate in a bowl & place that bowl in a pot of boiling /hot water. That way it won't burn the chocolate & you have a bowl of melted deliciousness. Be sure not to get water mixed with the chocolate.)
4. Take one frozen banana from the freezer & spoon chocolate on it. The frozen banana will freeze some chocolate on contact. Place the banana back in the freezer, and then take the next one out. Repeat until done.
5. Wait an hour & eat.
Each one is about 154 calories and I hear it's even very healthy for you.

No, it's not all chocolate I've eaten. Yes, I'm eating very healthy, except for the few messes on here. YES, you are more than welcome to follow me even closer & YES, I'm happy to work with you as you lose weight also. I'm happy to have others being accountable. It's always easier when it's a team effort.
