Weight 239: Les Mills Combat Workout, Treadmill, Mount Everest Workout

Detailed Expedition MapSaturday & Sunday are days for me to kick my own ass. This evening, starting at about 9pm, I ran about 3.5 miles (walked 1-2) at a good incline (between 2-7... usually at 4.) Cooled down... grabbed some water... I had some more in me, so I decided to do the the Les Mills Combat Workout, too. (Boxing/martial arts/Beach Body Brand.)

One step closer to Mt. Everest. Pedometer should read about 13,000 steps. ... but it wasn't on me for the Les Mills workout.

It's now midnight. That was a good 2 - 2.5 hours of 'work out.' (i.e. 1.5 hours of solid workout.) It's not enough though, I realize to climb to Mt. Everest Base Camp I'll need to utilize strength for 8 hour hikes each day.

17,590 feet.

Here's a basic profile of what's to come: (This was on http://www.exodustravels.com/) I'm not sure I'll be using them, but they have been referred to me.

According to Medline Plus, a service of the US National Library of Medicine, (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000133.htm), while trekking, you only want to climb about 2,000 ft. vertically per day once you are above 8000 ft. Lukla, the town we start in, is at 9,500 ft. Time to find some airsickness medication.

I've read the following story a few times.
