Day 4 - Weight loss and energy!

Get up & go!
After years of saying 'I should' do that, I finally am!
Up by 4:30 & working out.
Weight: 142! Woohoo! I've lost 9 lbs. --- 51 to go to my main goal & 41 to go to my May goal!

Yes, it's water weight. Yes, it's the 'first week.'

I had a random thought while I was working out this morning. Maybe workouts get easier because I'm now pushing 9lbs less. I was thinking of getting a weight vest so I could 'keep on' the extra pounds I have lost. Perhaps that would keep my weight going ... or at least help me continue shedding pounds. (I know I lose weight at first because
of the water weight being shed, but I'd like the idea of continuing the weight loss momentum.)

Yesterday afternoon was dreadful. I was so hungry. I almost think that I don't get enough calories. I know this is a 2 week strict diet and then it spreads out to introduce more carbs. (Right now I'm basically eating a fish everyday, some protein, and veggies.) I'm only drinking water and a cup or two of coffee.

Last night (and this morning) I was realizing how much BETTER I already feel. I'm not as bloated or lazy feeling. In fact, I had so much energy this morning after my first workout, I broke out the Supreme 90day workout & did 25 minutes of that. I also prepared (2) dinners for the next few days.

It also helps that the girls are still asleep and it's 7:23! :-D

So in 3 hours, I worked out twice, made 2 meals, ate breakfast, wrote my blog, answered a handful of emails, checked the social media accounts, talked with my wife a bit, and right after I shower my day can start.

Todays meals include: (breakfast - 2 slices of bacon, 2 eggs, tomato and avacado; lunch: salmon salad; Snack: Hummus & veggies. Dinner: peppercorn steak with veggie salad.)

ps - I cheated a little yesterday. I had an extra piece of bacon & a spoon full of salsa I made --- The salsa was mixed in with the turkey burger (just patties) I made last night. I wouldn't really call it a burger. It was more a salad with a patty on top of it. Good southwestern burger.

Keep on truckin' my friends.
