This Jillian diet lets you plan your own meals / your own calories. I'm focusing somewhere around 1,500 per day. With that & working out, I'm losing weight. 12lbs in 10 days. MOST important at this point in the game is that I'm losing inches, too. I still can't quite fit in older pairs of 36 dress pants, but I'm almost there. (However, the size 36 pants I've worn often fit fine. My few pairs of 38s are finally getting loose.)
I DO know this. There is half a pizza sitting in the fridge that my kids had last night. It's been 14 hours and I haven't eaten one piece. In fact, I haven't had ANY pieces. I'm darn proud of that. Pizza is my weakness... my crack... ... my weight gain. I can eat a whole one if it's late enough.
I have been drinking a glass of cold water when I wake up in the mornings and it has curbed my appetite a bit. Basically: 8 glasses a day of ice cold water = about 70 calories burned. I'll add that to my routine & see what happens.
1 cup of ice water = about 17.5 calories burned. I'll go fill up now.
(10 minutes later)
Done --- now I'm really cold. I need some coffee. It's like 10* outside. WTF am I thinking. I'm not sure I like that one as much. Quickest experiment ever.
Honestly, I'll try to drink ice water today & see how I feel. I should give it more time than that, but I don't like it so far.
@4:30am - 30 minute workout with chest/shoulders/arms/abs - 1500 calories of non-processed food.
Yesterday was 30 minutes cardio.
PS Any foods I post are all no nitrite, non-processed foods. I've slowly learned that the more marketing a product has around it, the (most likely) more harm it can cause. LUCKY CHARMS vs Cucumbers. When was the last cucumber or celery commercial you saw?
